Compostable Foil Materials

Kraft paper 45gsm, which is usually made from plant and wood fiber, finds itself a good film layer in packaging and printing applications as of below properties.

PLA +PBAT, PLA is short for polylactic acid, which are usually derived from corn starch or potato starch, and intended to compost under home/garden or industrial conditions. Usually, it needs to be mixed with PBAT in produce process to achieve a commercial compostable film.

This foil lamiante Kraft paper 45gsm/PLA+PBAT is actually not great at barrier performance, which does not allow the package to protect the roasted beans in original fragrance as long as possible. You may read here to understand the high barrier compostable foil materials.
