Introduce
This amazing standup doypack is made of recyclable kraft paper film materials. Kraft paper is a natural, biodegradable, and compostable material which is intended for more sustainable packaging solutions for the dry nuts products. Kraft paper can be recycled up to seven times before becoming totally degraded. Therefore this standup doypacks are relatively cheap to make.

Laminated Foil Materials
This foil materials is a reinforced structure with excellent properties for spices powder packages. The foil structure is MatteBOPP18/KraftPaper67/LDPE, with graphic as below.
Matte BOPP18, is short for matte finish biaxially orientated polypropylene film with most common thickness 18 microns (equals to 0.72 gauge). Compared to glossy BOPP film, it is able to achieve the final package with a fine matte visual appearance for the package at a lower cost.
Brown kraft paper in nature color with weight 70gsm working as the outside layer, good stiffness and supportive layer. Custom artwork can also be printed on outside.
LDPE film, means low density polyethylene film, which is the most used inner sealing layer for the coffee bag. It is able to provide enough sealing strength and airtight property for the final packages.
The final thickness for this foil laminate should be 140 microns, with tolerance +-5%. and the toughness of this foil will be enough to finalize good package profile for 80 grams of dry nuts products.
Kraft Paper Standup Doypack Properties
1 Great print quality
The artwork is achieved in gravure printing which can print up to maximum 10 colors. With advanced print art and print defects inspection system, we are now outputting fantastic print effect against the customers’ artwork.
Actually, this amazing artwork is reversely printed on the inner side of Matte BOPP film and then laminated to kraft paper, which can keep the original colors of the customer artwork in vivid effect.
When the artwork is directly printed onto kraft paper, actually, some of the subtle and complicated effect may not be presented as the effect of printing onto substrate film, like BOPP film, BOPA film, and polyester PET film. As the porous tiny holes on the fiber plant will of course absorb much of the inks, and will cause the loss of gloss and vivid effect in human eyesight.

2 Great Standing Profile
In this doypack, we choose kraft paper with yield 70 gsm, which is a stiff and tough materials for most packages. The final packages achieved with this foil laminate MatteBOPP18/KraftPaper67/LDPE are usually with great standup straight effect. So, when the products are filled into this standup doypack, the package will be able to present good branding and sale purpose on the goods shelf.
3 Excellent Airtight Property for Zipperlock
This single track plastic zipper is applied onto the kraft paper doypack, with back and front part well melted to the inner layer of the doypack. It enables the package to be repeatedly opened and closed with great airtight property.
Here, we are going to open and close the zipperlock for several times, and check if the air is easy to penetrate into or out of the package. Usually, we will apply a certain pressure on this closed zipper doypack, and check if the inflated doypack is easy to burst.

4 High Mechanical Strength
This reinforced laminated foil is achieved with great mechanical strength, with some standard items as below.

In our daily QC work, there is an more easy and reliable method to check if the bag strength is enough to meet the various conditions in the operations of filling, transport, loading and unloading, distribution. We perform drop test against each order, of course, the standard for this drop test should be decided against customer needs.
Here, we are going to fill 1000grams of coffee beans into this kraft paper foil pouch, and perform drops for 5 times, and check if there is any breakage for the package.

5 Easy Tear from the tear notch
Usually, there is tear notch applied on one or both sides of the doypack, so when the doypack is well sealed, the consumers can just easily open the package through this notch.
Some customers may like to get a perfect tear on their package, and usually linear tear materials or laser scored line should be the ideal solution, as you can see the linear straight tear effect from the laser scored line on this dry nuts doypack, perfect

2 Barrier Performance
With mocon O2/H2O/CO2 permeation tester equiped in our laboratory, we are able to keep a more close eye on the barrier performance of each laminate foil produced in our manfuacturing plant.
Against this foil laminate MatteBOPP18/Kraft Paper70gsm/LDPE, actually, it is not high barrier performance, which can not protect the dry nuts products in a good state for long time.

Artwork Printing
A good creative artwork matters much more than most people expect, as most people tend to buy a product they feel good for.
For the printing produce in our plant, we are able to achieve the artwork in maximum 10 colors. With in-line print defect inspection system, more than 98% of the common print defects can be removed, you may have a further understanding by below video.
We will have to request a minimum order quantity of 500kgs per design against customer artwork. As to print each color, there will be a tank of printing inks offered to the rolling print cylinder.
If the customer just start up their business, and he would like to initiat his business at the lowest cost, he may try clear unprinted film, and plan a logo printing when the business goes bigger.

2) Mono Materials Recyclable Pouch Packages
Mono meterials pouch packages are truly recyclabled, as they can be easily processed into plastic granules which can be used again for other applications. However, for the traditional multilayer laminates, take PET/LDPE for example, it is difficult to be processed, as PET and LDPE are quite different material, and can not be melted under the same conditions.
