1 Introduction

This attractive pouch is made of PET12/VMPET12/LDPE155 foil material. This is a standup box bottom pouch, which is quite famous in the consumer market for pet products. The main body is set in blue, attracting the customers to buy it.

2 Foil Structure

This foil material is a reinforced structure with excellent properties for pet snack pouches. The foil structure is PET12/VMPET12/LDPE155, with a graphic as below.

PET film, or polyethylene terephthalate film, is a thermoplastic polymer resin that is a type of plastic film. It is a versatile material with many uses due to its physical, mechanical, optical, thermal, electrical, and chemical properties. PET film is available in various thicknesses, widths, and transparencies.

VMPET film is short for vacuum metalized polyester film, which is achieved under vacuum conditions to deposit a thin layer of aluminum atoms onto the surface of PET (polyester) film substrate, and finally realize a bright metallic film that is widely used in flexible packaging and standup pouch packages.

LDPE film means low density polyethylene film, which is the most used inner sealing layer for the pet foods pouch. It is able to provide enough sealing strength and airtight property for the final packages.

The final thickness for this foil laminate should be 180 microns, with a tolerance +-5%. and the toughness of this foil will be enough to finalize a good package profile for 1000 grams of pet food products.

3 High glossy flat Bottom pouch for 1kg pet foods

3.1 Great print quality

The artwork is achieved in gravure printing which can print up to a maximum of 10 colors. With advanced print techniques and a print defects inspection system, we are now outputting fantastic print effects against the customers’ artwork.

Actually, this amazing artwork is reversely printed on the inner side of PET12 film and then laminated to VMPET/LDPE, which can keep the original colors of the customer’s artwork in dramatic effect.

3.2 Barrier Performance

When LDPE film is trapped in this foil laminate, actually, the barrier performance is good enough to keep pet snack products in fine protection.

3.3 High Mechanical Strength

This reinforced laminated foil is achieved with great mechanical strength, with some standard items as below.

• Anti-pressure Property

In our daily QC work, there is a more easy and more reliable method to check if the bag strength is enough to meet the various conditions in the operations of filling, transport, loading and unloading, and distribution. We perform drop test against each order, of course, the standard for this drop test should be decided against customer needs.

Here, we performed the drop test of a filled pouch with 30kg of pet snacks, with the foil materials strong enough to protect the products inside. You are suggested to watch the video below.

You can judge from the video, the pouch stays well after 6 drops, really great physical strength.
