Foil Materials

To ensure the standing pouch with great print effect and robost property, a triplex laminated foil is applied to achieve this package, with graphic as below.

• PET12, means clear polyester film 12 microns, is the most common used clear transparent in the flexible packaging industry, which is of premium property and adaptable for kinds of processings without deformation. In this foil structure, it works as the outside print substrate, and presents the artwork design to the consumers’ eyes.
• PA15, means the biaxially orientated polyamide film 15 microns, which is one of the most common used robust films in the commercial market, and works as middle support layer.
• LDPE film, which is short for low density polyethylene film, will have to be modified to meet the particular requirements for the inside contents. Here, it mainly works as the inner sealing layer.

so, usually this foil laminate is named as PET12/BOPA15/LDPE with sequence from outside layer to inner layer, in business understanding, and this foil works particularly great for standing spout pouches, for some liquid products, such as motor oil products,  windshield washer fluids, household cleaning chemicals etc. OK, lets get into more details for this motor oil doypack.

We are performing a daily QC work to guarantee the performance, and among all of them, drop test should be considered as the most reliable way to check if the bag strength meets the requirements of final application.

There is different height and times of drop for different products, however, as engine oil is of a high value, a relatively high standard will surely be advised to check the quality.

When 1000 ml of engine oil product is filled into the package, the filled level is about to take around 70% of the total height, which is normal operation in filling standup pouches. You may check the filled level in below picture.

Please note, the artwork print is finalized with gravure printing, which will have to need print cylinders to print each color, such as CMYK color and spot color.

Spout & Screw Cap sealing system

The spout and screw cap sealing system makes the filling and pour of the engine oil products so easy and convenient for the consumers. Usually, the most common used specification for the spout is 16mm for the inner diameter, with a common white toothpast caps.

There is security circle on the cap which will prevent the products from counterfeit, and it works very well for the close and open operations.
